Natura &Co completed the acquisition of Avon Products, Inc. in January making it the fourth largest pure-play beauty business in the world. 76% of the combined company will be owned by its shareholders. The deal will be subject to regulatory approvals.
As the CEO of Natura &Co, avon leadership team Joao Paulo Brotto Goncalves Ferreira is responsible for expanding the company’s presence internationally. He was previously a Vice President of Supply Chain at Unilever Brazil and Latin America. He graduated with an MBA from the University of Michigan.
He has led Natura through the change from a traditional direct selling firm to an innovative, digital one. The digitalization of the company has led to increased productivity and the implementation of 17 consecutive quarters of growth.
In January, Natura &Co plans to begin trading shares of its through ADRs on the New York Stock Exchange. This will allow the company to capitalize on its synergies across its brands as well as expand its product portfolio and reach 200 million customers around the world.
To help drive the next phase of growth, the company has also appointed an entirely new leadership team. Roberto Marques will serve as the Group Chief Executive Officer and Angela Cretu, will manage the company’s global operations. She will oversee the management and operations of Natura outside of Latin America.
Prior to joining Natura, Joao Paulo spent twenty years at Unilever where he held a variety of roles including Vice President of Supply Chain. His last job at the company was Vice President of Operations and Logistics.

Angela Cretu
As the new head of Avon is Angela Cretu, a veteran of the company and its leadership team. Cretu has more than 20 years of experience in running a top cosmetics brand and is well-positioned to oversee Avon’s global operations.

Acosta is a senior executive leader at Avon. He joined Avon in 2011 as Senior Vice President and President Latin America and was recently named Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer. Charles Herington, the Company’s Executive Chairman, will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
He worked for many years at Unilever before joining Avon. He has extensive experience in the development of consumer-oriented businesses in emerging markets. In addition to his position at Avon the company, he also serves as an shareholder and board member of RoC Skincare in New York.
As the Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer He is in charge of the evolution of the brand experience at Avon. He also has overseen the creation and implementation of the new social selling strategy that is digital.
Fernando Acosta began his career at Unilever as an apprentice in management. He has worked in Europe and the United Kingdom. Later, he was in high-level positions within Unilever’s Latin American operations.
From 1999 until 2004, he served as the Category President for Latin America at Unilever. His role included overseeing the most well-known brands of the company like Dove. He also was involved in the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty, which launched innovative products like Pro Age.
After his time as the senior vice president of Unilever’s Middle Americas division, he was promoted to an international position. From 2006 until 2008, he was the Brand President of Dove Global at Unilever. During this time, he was based in New York.
Before that, he was a Regional President for Latin America at Avon. His responsibility included driving sales leadership uk and establishing the brand’s Latin American strategy. He also assisted in the development of innovative product lines such as Pro Age.
